Empyra assisted SAP to build and launch a groundbreaking Defect Management System in a record six months’ time. As one of the global leaders in software, SAP acquired Ariba in 2012 which enabled Ariba’s cloud applications and business network to combine with SAP’s global scale and to take full advantage of the cloud and achieve new levels of efficiency, performance, and profits. Empyra drove a massive data migration effort of over 100K Change Requests from legacy CRM into JIRA. This was a rules based migration where over 5000 rules were defined to convert legacy data into more relevant objects in the new system. High volume of attachments, notes, activities were migrated into JIRA for more than 50 live projects. Authentication to JIRA was done using SAP employee ID using LDAP account syncing. Empyra helped Ariba to build a new JIRA Business Objects universe to be used by internal PMO teams and guided them on integrating with the new system using APIs and Web services.
